Description
A retired teacher turned writer, Alberte never stopped exploring all facets of life, people and relationships through the written word. Her first novel “Le jardin négligé” followed by “The Neglected Garden” and “Une prière pour Hélène” were followed by “Le génie de Jessie” and “A Genie for Jessie” children’s books on bullying. These books offered the perfect occasion for public presentations to mature audiences as well as school children. This eventually led to an invitation to write articles, first for “True North Perspective”, then “Canaan Connexion” and since 2009 for “Perspectives Vanier” where her monthly column “Seeds for Thought” is popular. Some of her stories were featured in anthologies, the latest being “Canada One Five O”. “Muses from the Blue Shack” is the first compilation of some of her favourite articles which will hopefully be followed by a second one.
