Description
My memoir takes you on a journey from when I was born in 1935 until my wife Lynda and our three children came to Canada in 1967. It has been a complicated journey because of my once having lived in Canada, then in England and then in Canada again.
In my memoir, I contrast my life in these two countries, and I describe the difficulties in pursuing a career that I long desired from boyhood. I relate my experiences while serving in the Royal Air Force and the circumstances in which I met Lynda. I talk about our marriage, our family, the difficulty of working in a country that was moving towards state control coupled with crippling taxes, and our decision to come to Canada. Along this journey, I write about the interesting people I met and the mood of the time—a time long since past.
