Description
Irish-Canadian Tommy Brennan is lost in Shangri-La…a Vancouver housing co-operative under threat of takeover by a powerful, corrupt cult that masquerades as simple folk and families. Deep in drink, mourning the loss of his beloved wife, the founder and heart of the housing co-op, Tommy receives both and eviction notice and a notice of a long-overdue award for war service – on the same day. Then the past comes calling when Dr. Jane Samuel, a renowned anthropologist from Ireland, contacts him. She and Tommy, both orphans, are closely related, and she will learn of the long-lost kind of the diaspora. They are about to enter into conflict and saga.
